Our Values
At Kingerlee our people are everything to us. We have a passion for construction and thrive on high-quality, challenging projects. We are a fifth-generation family firm with great values and a forward-thinking, energetic approach.
“I have worked with Kingerlee on many occasions in the past on various types of project and have found them to be very collaborative in their approach with excellent attention to detail. All aspects of project delivery were handled very efficiently, and they are very easy to work with. I would highly recommend.”
Jon Watkins, Jam Management Ltd
"Kingerlee always deliver a professional approach. The company has a long tradition in construction, but it doesn’t mean they shy away from building complex, contemporary buildings using modern methods of construction. The Kingerlee team seems to thrive on the challenge a difficult build can bring and the process to find a solution is always enjoyable."
Mark Harris, Director of SOLID Structures & Infrastructure
"Kingerlee achieved an exceptional level of quality for our new home in the Cotswolds, on what turned out to be a challenging and complex design. A calm and measured approach ensured a good working relationship with ourselves, the architect and sub-contractors. They were attentive during the completion and handover process and they have been excellent in dealing with the few inevitable post-completion issues. We know that they are there should we need them."
Private client, Oxfordshire
“Kingerlee are a completely reliable company who, in the 12 years I have worked with them on various projects, have always produced work to a very high standard and in good consultation with the Client and design team”
Andy Rolfe, Domestic Bursar of Corpus Christi College
“We purchased a listed property in central Oxford which was in need of complete restoration. We appointed Kingerlee Special Projects to do the work. They were superb and I would recommend them without hesitation. The lines of communication with both the site manager and the director could not be bettered. They are totally trustworthy. The quality of the work was outstanding. Their in-house joinery capability proved to be invaluable. All the subcontractors they appointed were not only excellent tradespeople but also very pleasant to deal with. Restoring old houses is never straightforward and it inevitably throws up many surprises. At all times Kingerlee exhibited flexibility, outstanding advice with every new discovery and timely execution of the revised plans.”
PRIVATE CLIENT
“Anderson Orr has worked with Kingerlee and their Special Projects Team on prestigious projects with challenging timescales and extremely high-quality finishes. Kingerlee is a very well-organised and efficient contractor who upholds the highest standards of work and craftsmanship. By adopting a flexible and accommodating approach, Kingerlee has been a pleasure for us, as Architects, and our clients to work with. We have found Kingerlee to be reliable and trustworthy across all tiers of their company hierarchy and would not hesitate to recommend them.”
Paul Seamarks, Director of Anderson Orr Architects
“The interaction between the Kingerlee and the Keble team was excellent. A High Quality performance”
Roger Boden, Keble College Oxford
I am particularly pleased with how Kingerlee addressed my concerns with the challenge of lab /compartment containment. The Passive Haus test with each lab-to-lab and lab-to-corridor zone was a positive additional mid-build test stage and gave us great confidence that the lab pressure regime could be achieved at the end.
I would also like to congratulate Kingerlee on the quality of the finish as it is probably the best quality on a capital project I have been involved with in over 10 years with the University.
It has been a pleasure working with Kingerlee and thank you for listening and taking on my input.
Kim Nixon, Head of Facilities Department of Chemistry Oxford University
