Private House, Gloucestershire

The house is partially Grade I Listed and all works were therefore carefully coordinated with the Architect and the Conservation Officer to ensure that original and subsequently developed details of interest were retained.

New construction works to the dwelling involved a basement and ground floor extension, first floor extension and link corridor with sunroom and within the walled garden a swimming pool and associated pavilion were provided.
The basement and ground floor extension was constructed utilising sheet piling as a permanent formwork to protect the works against a high water table.
The house has been totally refurbished to provide six bedroom en-suite accommodation with three further bedrooms with en-suite facilities to the extension, together with installation of high quality kitchen and development of the Great Hall, whilst the external elevations were treated and upgraded and included provision of a replacement 4m chimney.
High quality finishes were produced by utilising marble, stone, oak, etc whilst specialist joinery was provided by Kingerlee Joinery.
All incoming services were upgraded and new foul and storm drains installed with a Bio-Disc treatment plant, each out-falling to the stream bounding the property.
