Private Leisure Building, Bedfordshire

A multi million pound scheme to construct a leisure facility on a private estate in Bedfordshire.

The project incorporates a large spanning high quality concrete frame, external cladding in “burnt” timber and large expanses of glazed facade.

The internal palette includes polished plasters and polished concrete floors to compliment the detailing in the superstructure.

Internal spaces include a swimming pool, treatment rooms, tennis court, car workshop, exhibition space and helicopter hangar.

Sustainable design incorporates a green roof, re-use of a considerable volume of excavated material and ground source heat recovery system.

The leisure building is inserted into the ground and is sympathetically landscaped to accommodate a ramped car entrance and helicopter landing pad.
