Abingdon School Science Centre

An £8.6m scheme to construct a new science building for Abingdon School.

The new building will accommodate twenty one laboratories with associated preparation rooms, project rooms and staff offices. 
The structure comprises of a reinforced concrete frame with a portal steel roof construction. The two storey building has a duo-pitched roof space staggered at the ridge to accommodate high level clerestory glazing, with an external envelope of brickwork and standing seam roof finish.
Kingerlee are working alongside Hopkins Architects to deliver this state of the art technological building.
