Isis Building, EF International, Oxford

The International language School, Oxford provides facilities across its two academic buildings and on site residential blocks.

The new development provides a new and exciting impact and a modern entrance and reception incorporating extensive areas of two storey glazing. This incorporates a new courtyard, feature glazed staircase, theatre, classrooms and office areas.
The superstructure comprises of a steel frame, beam and block floors and pre-cast concrete planks with single-ply roofing.
External elevations are provided with contrasting materials including Thermowood timber boarding, glass, render, zinc and aluminium.
Extensive sequential refurbishment was carried out within the existing buildings to provide improved teaching and circulation areas and all external elevations are to be improved with applied render, new soffits, fascia and rainwater goods.
The externals areas were completed with a feature curved rendered wall, automatic gates, footpaths parking and lighting.
