We are delighted to announce the commencement of an exciting new project at @readingbluecoat School in Berkshire.
The scheme will see the comprehensive transformation and extension of the existing hall to create a dedicated Performing Arts Centre. Designed to foster creativity and collaboration, the new facility will comprise a flexible auditorium, specialist classrooms, drama studios, and a generously proportioned café space. This social hub will be framed by glass curtain walling, ensuring a light-filled and contemporary environment that connects seamlessly with the surrounding campus.
Alongside this, the adjacent music practice room annex is undergoing a sensitive remodelling to accommodate a state-of-the-art recording studio, complemented by a Kalzip roof and larch timber cladding to enhance both performance and appearance.
Construction began with asbestos removal and demolition works, paving the way for the forthcoming groundworks phase.
